I had my second weigh-in ever to gain a pound.  I am not going to stress about it.  I am going to learn from it and move on.  The week of Tommy's dad's surgery I didn't work out at all and overate on the weekend.  Honestly I am lucky it was just a pound.  It was a good lesson to learn.  I have to exercise and I have to eat right.   This past week I worked out very hard.  Tommy and I both added calories this past week because we exercised so much.   I was proud of my hard work.   I know that last week’s hard work and this week’s hard work will get me back on track.  Saturday and Sunday I did two personal bests.   I completed HIIT on Saturday for the first time with no extra breaks.  I am very proud!  Sunday Tommy and I rode 16 miles on our bike and averaged a top speed that I had not averaged before on long bike rides.   Even though I gained a pound this week I felt confident and tried on my size 10's.  Even though they are still tight, I was able to button and zip them all the way up.  Getting on those 10's makes me feel amazing.   Size 10's here I come.  This weekend we plan on doing a 20 mile bike ride.  I can't wait.   What are you doing to reach your personal best?

I am in exercise JAIL for last week.   I didn't eat well this weekend and I didn't exercise other than going up and down the stairs at the hospital and hotel.   So this week it's time for PUNISHMENT!  Tommy and I plan on biking and lifting today, biking tomarrow, lifting Thursday, and even more for the weekend.  We both feel fat and bloated.   We have just a few weeks before Europe and I want to make sure every day counts from here out!   What do you do to get back on the wagon?

Tommy and I have started a new bike ride.  Last Friday I had the day off so we road 15 miles through several country roads in Murray.  It was a wonderful ride!  I can't wait to do it again.  The whole way I kept thinking of the John Denver song the whole time...

Take Me Home, Country Roads
Almost heaven, West Virginia,
Blue Ridge Mountain, Shanandoa River,
Life is old there, older than the trees,
Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze

Country Roads, take me home
To the place I belong,
West Virginia,
Mountain mamma,take me home
Country roads

All my memories, gather round her
Modest lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye

Country Roads, take me home
To the place I belong,
West Virginia,
Mountain Mamma, take me home
To the country roads

I hear her voice in the morning hour she calls me
Radio reminds me of my home far away
Driving down the road I get a feeling
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday

Country Roads, take me home
To the place I belong,
West Virginia,
Mountain Mamma, take me home
Country roads

Country Roads, take me home
To the place I belong,
West Virginia,
Mountain Mamma, take me home
To the country roads

Take me home, that country road
Take me home, that country road

Tommy and I have been exercising just about every day.   We have been lifting, biking, and doing HIIT.  It has been been very hard but very rewarding since I lost three pounds.  But it isn't just the pounds, it's the the changes in my body.  It's the size 12's and no more 14's!  It's the way my body is starting to take shape.  Every week I notice new things.   I can see myself begin to tone up more and more each day.   I feel in better shape than I have ever been.   Last week we introduced bikes and HIIT.  We were able to ride our bikes to campus, then do HIIT, and then ride back, and THEN lift weights.  Now that is quite the workout!  What are you doing to stay fit?  I will leave you with a little song.  Monday I rode 12 miles on my bike and I kept thinking of this song.  It's a great workout song.  Enjoy!!!

I lost three pounds yesterday.  I had spent 3 weeks at the same weight even with counting every calorie, keeping my calories down, and lots of exercise.  I was starting to get very frustrated,  Finally Saturday I lost some weight!   I was so happy I even cried a little,   Here is how I felt inside and out!
