Here is a little preview of our Europe Trip in a few weeks...
Ode to my new pants!
I have some new pants,
I had a case of the can'ts
"I can't wear those pants!"
I went on all kinds of rants.
Then one day I dared
To try on those pants that were flared.
And to my surprise I found...
to my size 12's I was bound.
I am so happy that I delve
in perfectly into my size twelves.
per·se·ver·ance /ˌpɜrsəˈvɪərəns/[pur-suh-veer-uhns] noun 1. steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.
It is very hard to have perseverance when you haven't lost a pound in almost a month and have been exercising almost every day and eating very well and counting every calorie. What more can I do? So this week I plan to do everything I can to help this pause in weight loss end! Drink hot tea and coffee more to flush out my system, make sure I am getting enough fiber, cut out high salt and sugar foods, and eat more protein. I hope this makes a difference. On a happier note, even with being bloated I managed to really start getting into my size 12 pants. Yes they are a bit tight but I am getting there and hope to be in them by my vacation. What do you do to get through pauses in weight loss?
This has been a crazy last few weeks. I have been working and having fun. This past week I had 2 state reviews but at least they are over with till next year. I have still managed to keep up with my exercise. I fell short a little the week before last but managed to catch up this past week. I continue to lift, bike, and do HIIT. I took my blood pressure this weekend and I was 106/67. I feel good about my health. This is not just a change so I can be skinny, it is a quest to be fit and healthy. I may groan about exercise but truthfully I feel better now than I have ever felt in my life. Here are a few pics from the past few weeks. How you doin????
Don't you wish you had a "Change" button? Wouldn't that be great? Want to change and hit a button! Perfect right? Ok maybe not. If I could just hit a button it wouldn't be as meaningful. This journey has changed so much about me. I am not so certain I would have had all these other revelations along the way if it easy. After a few months of slacking from exercise I really feel like I am back in full swing. I am lifting bigger weights, doing HIIT, and doing longer workouts. I have started to see a lot of definition in my arms and even a decrease in my tummy. It feels so good. I keep inching closer and closer to my goal. It feels so good to know that I am just 19lbs from my goal. I see the changes, I feel them. Tommy has really helped me start noticing them. I am so lucky to have such an amazing partner. I love you Tommy!
I have been very busy these last few weeks and have had little time to blog. I am doing great but a lot of people I work with are having a very hard time. This ofcourse makes things busy for me. But I have been plugging right on and making sure to take time for those I love, for exercise, and for me too. Sometimes that means no blogging but I miss it. I hope to get back to blogging more soon.
I stayed on track last week and worked out and met my goals for exercise. I did my third straight weekend of HIIT. Saturday I weighed in and lost another pound. I am very excited and feel like I am back on track. I am seeing changes in my body and seeing the scale move. It feels really good.
In other news: I had a great weekend. Tommy and I went to see the Decendants on Friday and our wonderful pizza and music from Miss Dawn. Saturday we did our exercise and enjoyed our regualr Saturday night fun with a added visit to the Goldrush for a little late night breakfast snack. Sunday Spicer and I spent the super bowl with Tommy and his family at Raffertys. How was your weekend?
