Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd;
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,
I don't care if I never get back.
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don't win, it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out,
At the old ball game.

Spicer had his first Tee Ball practice.  It was very entertaining.   Spicer did cartwheels, several kids tried to run to get their own ball they hit, major distraction, fighting over the ball, no one getting the ball at all, and running to the wrong base. It was Very Cute to say the least.   After that we came back home and rode bikes and played with chalk with Miss Amber.

Spicer had a great day today.  He was at 86%!!  Way to go Spicer!!!  He chose a treat from DQ.   A choclate covered strawberry waffle cone!   Yummy!!!   He came home and finished his homework.  He decided to ride his bike afterwards.   The bike ride was short lived when it started pouring down rain.  So now it's time for supper and looney tunes then to read his new lego reader books :)   Good Times!!!

Spicer was out of school today and we had some major cabin fever!!  So we ended up meeting a long time friend and son and her hubby at Mr. Gatti's.  Spicer had a blast.  I am so glad I was able to see Becca and her family.  That is a fourth generation of friends starting with Becca's grandmother Edna Lynn and my Grandmother Mary Sue, then my parents and her parents friendship, then my friendship with her and her sisters, and now I hope between her son and Spicer.  How cool is that?

Spicer had a great Easter Weekend.  He had a good time at his Dad's, got loot from the Easter Bunny and his grandparents from Texas, then came to my mom and dads for Easter Dinner, played with his cuzs, got loot from my mom and dad, came home and had another basket, and..... got his bike!!!  Now that is one heck of a fun Easter.   :)  He couldn't ride his bike yesterday so today I let him ride all over the neighborhood.  He had a blast and seems to love his bike.   It was hard to get him to come in to eat and do home work but tomarrow he can ride again if we get a break in the weather.  Glad you like your new bike Spicer! I love you!

I'd like to build the world a home
And furnish it with love
Grow apple trees and honey bees
And snow-white turtle doves

Chorus:
I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony
I'd like to hold it in my arms
And keep it company
(That's the song I hear)
I'd like to see the world for once
(Let the world sing today)
All standing hand in hand
And hear them echo through the hills
For peace throughout the land
That's the song I hear
(That's the song I hear)
Let the world sing today
(Let the whole wide world keep singing)
A song of peace that echoes on
And never goes away

Spicer got a guitar from his dad last night for having such good weeks.  Last night when he called me he played me a song, "Speed Racer, Go Speed Racer.  Speed Racer went to college and his brother X was thier.  He was a good guy and he went fast.  Go Speed Racer, Go."  I love you Spicer!  Make music baby and keep on rockin'!!!!

Spicer continues to improve at school but he has his days.   Today was kind of a rough day.  Spicer was all over the place.  He wasn't listening, he poking other students in the face, he got a ticket in the lunch room.   It is tough as a parent to see this.  When my son hurts, I hurt.  When he is sad, I am sad.  When he suffers, I suffer.   But that is part of being a parent, part of being a mom.  Monday I gave him a break because it was Monday and he came close to meeting his goals and really turned his afternoon around.  Today I was not so forgiving and his percentage was even lower.   So I stood firm and imposed his loss of privlages and he can not watch tv tonight.   It isn't harsh... it isn't mean... it is being a mom.   I love my son so much.   I know he can turn this week around and have two more good days so he can get his big prize.  I know you can Spicer!  I am rooting for you!  I am in your corner!  I am your biggest cheerleader!   I love you so much!

When I was little, my brother and I lived outside.  Mom and dad had to MAKE us come in.  I loved to ride my bike, explore, swim, just play outside.   It seems like kids today (wow did I really say that?? I sound so old saying that "kids today" ) are not interested in going outside.  But not Spicer... Spicer loves outside.  I am so glad he does.   We have started enjoying the creek behind our house.  Today Spicer threw on his rain boots and we headed out to the creek while there was a break in the weather and the sun peeked out.  I love that my son LOVES to be outside.  He loves nature, he loves to explore.  I love you Spicer.. my little nature boy.
